basicly, mx2004 is an updated version of mx, and 8 is an updated version of mx2004. they are all the basic same program, but each updated version has more capabillities and are usually easier 2 use.....but deinately get 8 it rox. u can do a lot mor.

Dreamweaver 8 is loaded with all latest features which outdates the MX and MX2004.

I suggest you to try out all three and see the difference yourself.
