What's the best way to get listed in DMOZ.org?

I've read their guidelines and submitted my site (www.1031multifamily.com) a number of times but so far, I haven't heard anything and nothing shows up. Thanks

You've done it correctly, but I wouldn't worry about it. dmoz.org is a dead directory.

I strongly disagree with Linda. DMOZ ( http://dmoz.org/ ) is not a dead directory at all.

Maintained by a large community of volunteers, DMOZ lists more 5,000,000 websites, and it's still growing. Browse the monthly reports at http://research.dmoz.org/publish/chris2001/odp_reports/ for details.

The best way to get listed is certainly to browse the directory and choose the category that best fits the content of your website, then follow advice given here http://dmoz.org/add.html and submit your site with a correct title and a description that really matches your content.

You may also browse the ODP public forums at http://resource-zone.com/ for advice and information on the project.

There's no need to resubmit if you've submitted your site once, as it can be seen as spam.

Be patient, and one day, you'll see your site listed if it's compliant with DMOZ guidelines ( http://dmoz.org/guidelines/ ).
