Tips for opening a Directory - Kahuki Webmaster Forum and Discussion Community

I am planning to start a free directory. May i ask all the directory owners to give me there valuable suggestions for this. Where should i start from ? How should i proceed ?

make your site easy to use with a good design. people don't like wasting time on hard to navigate directories or directories with overly complicated submission process
