How long does it take to get PageRank?

I'm just wondering, how long does it take to get PageRank and how can we get a higher PageRank?

Google updates the page rank on certain dates unknown to the general public, then how to get higher PR minimize reciprocal linking and patronize one way links. Do more link building like directory submission, article writing, link exchange with related and higher PR sites.

First and foremost the page rank of a website would depends on the backlinks or inbound links that it has.That would also depend on the page that has the link pointing to your website.Only if Google caches that page will the backlink/inbound link be counted as valid.Secondly the amount of backlinks that your website should have would depend on the age of your domain.You got to explain to Google the purpose of your Link Building.If your website has an excess of backlinks/inbound links compared to it's age it's IP address will be de-indexed by Google.And as for the updates it depends completely on Google.Like this year there has already been a couple of updates where as last year there were only three updates for PR and Backlinks compared to four the year before.Click here for the complete chart.

PR is Not much Important for Now, Forget about PR.


and Try to get Some Good Back Links from Dirtectories submission, Article submission and Social Book marking sites.

Sure, You Will Get PR Juice and also good Rankings in search engines.

Only important is targeted keywords of our business Website.

i just want to add that page rank is important because you can get higher ranking for the competitive keywords with having lots of backlinks to your site and google updates it,s page rank sometimes between one month or 2 or 3.

Concentrate on bulding that PR before worrying how long. Links (like forum signatures). directories, social bookmarking (check out my page for the SB button a the top of each page), articles, and similar sites work!!!!!

Edit your title & description to be readable/informative but include keywords (google), good real text (all), good metas (yahoo), anchor text for links (all)

i dont think so that PR does affect your keyword ranking...

well it really depends on how many backlinks do have your site and how long will be the next pr update of google...

It usually takes at least three full months for all of your inbound links to be calculated and counted as backlinks. Google's PageRank is calculated based on the relevancy, quantity and quality of your inbound links.But ranking on Google also depends of how old is domain.

You can increase the Page Rank by getting the back links to your site.

Before, it takes 3-4 months before you can see pagerank on your site but lately google seems updates pagerank almost monthly.

Don't mind the page rank, focus on backlinks and promoting for your page rankings to all search engine. For your question, i may say it depends on how you work on the reputation of your website,"Higher quality, good reputation".
