The algorithms change frequently because of the abuse of the system over time. Many people do not know or understand why they change so frequently but it is all a game for google. Did you ever stop to think if you are adwords or adsense user that this also plays into where you are ranked.

I hadn't actually thought of that, interesting point you raise. I know for adsense publishers Google has to index your site before it can start showing ads. Otherwise it won't know the adwords keywords your site may have.

So I guess adsense publishers will get their sites indexed more quickly.
