Mass has a lot of energy in it which can be harnessed with antimatter and fusion/fission.Fusion is usually simplest so thats what they've been researching. it is a promising way to obtain huge amounts of energy from atoms of certain elements.

There are a few problems with this however, to fuse 2 atoms immense pressure and heat must be applied. In the end of the process we use more energy than we have gained.

If we could fuse atoms without the heat then fusion would be the most promising source of energy. the lack of heat is just basically the cold part of cold fusion.

Cold fusion is another scripting language that has more of an HTML feel as it uses alot of tags. I believe it is more similar to Java than any language since its derived from JAVA in the beginning. From what I hear from most people, its not as powerful as its mother language.

It's a tag-based scripting language that allows you to program functionality into web pages. Archbob is correct, it's not as powerful (or flexible) as Java (or PHP). But it's much easier to learn, and it allows you to do some very powerful things extremely quickly and easily.

Unlike PHP and Java though, it's not free. The ColdFusion server is quite expensive.
