Please get into your MysQL folder and try finding out this file named config.inc.php. I am using WAMP so the file is in C:WampPHPmyadmin. In that file find these lines $cfg['Servers'][$i]['user'] = 'root'; // MySQL user $cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = 'root'; // MySQL password (only needed // with 'config' auth_type) The passwod for my local mysql is root and you can change it for yourself

Download MySQL Manager from http://www.mysql.com You need to connect to the DB by configuring the application. You may be able to access it using the root accounts, they may not be passworded. You can then change your username/password information. I have done it before. It's very easy if it's on a local computer that hosts MySQL. You can also check the BIN folder where MySQL is installed. Look for a file called winmysqladmin.exe. Open that up and look under the INI.File tab to see the admin UN/PW.

Ok, I'm gonna give you an easy answer. I'm assuming your running on a shared host like hostgator. You have two options; 1. Go into the SQL manager application in your control panel and find it 2. Ask your host Most people will do the later as it is easier.
