The company that owns Ask.com is IAC Search & Media. Ask.com was formerly known as Ask Jeeves.com before it was taken over by (apparently) IAC and then changed its name to Ask.com. IAC owns a portfolio (several) of eight websites that all focus in some way on delivering information and communication platforms.
