| Just ask this question on ask.com.
Originally called askjeeves.com, later changed to ask.com
Dont know why they changed, but really, how easy is it to remember a name like Jeeves! And spell it correctly!
My hubby actually met Jeeves in Guam during his Y2K New Year's Eve celebration Jan. 2000. Hubby catered the celebration in the penthouse of the Ladera Tower--5 star hotel on Guam. It was a small, intimate affair for approximately 20 employees (and their families) of askJeeves.
Guam is the first American soil to actually experience a NewYear as they are approx 15 hrs ahead of the States. Guam's slogan is: "Where America's Day Begins". Jeeves flew his people to Guam for the Y2K celebration so they could be the first to bring in the New Year.
My hubby said he was a friendly guy and very down to earth. He was an American; about 5'10"; in his late 30s/early 40s.
I do not know why he is not the mascot anymore? Perhaps he sold the company. Just thought I would give you a little useless info for the heck of it.
Enjoy! |
