| I agree with Rohitpatel and CyberBoy08. The term Page Rank (or PR) is Google's alone. They have "perfected" the algorithm that goes into computing how important your site or page is compared to others within the same category. ![]()

| Google is really the only engine to have this "Page Rank" thing everyone is talking about. All engines have different algorithems to determine search results orer so yes, your "Pagerank" with each search engine will be different. |

| As most have said Page Rank is only used by Google. You will find also that where you rank in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) for a specific keyword will differ from one search engine to another. They all have their own formula (algorithm) for calculating the order in which they will list the sites.

| Yes the ranking systems are different from search engine to search engine, and if you have not submitted your site to one engine then you can expect not to find your site there. Sometimes the spiders will catch a site when other sites are crawled and put you in the system based on relevancy to keywords. |

| Although , it's only for Google that you have an official toolbar that measures your websites pagerank, you can still learn about search engine ranking position for the keywords you have optimized your sites with , but with other search engines , you have to research a bit harder to find out those details. |

| Page rank is only used by google, so true, but it's been losing it's important now, I mean, some big guys gave up on PR, they say that is not what counts, and well, I kind of agree on that sometimes

| Yes I think that's true... the important thing, the goal is to get to the top of the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). I was using a Firefox plugin for awhile that showed me the pagerank and backlinks for each result in the Google SERPs. I was surprised to see that often low ranking sites appeared above the high ranking sites on Google.
