Earning with Parked Domains

I have a large amount of domains that I haven't developed websites for so I decided to park them with SEDO to earn from PPC. I also use their service to offer my domains up for sale. Everytime I get a new domain if I don't develop it right away I just park it. I especially like to look for expiring domain names that will bring in traffic still.

That's a good way of earning money out of the unused domains. At times you may even be able to sell the domains by way of auctioning same.

But most of the names that are hot have been taken already. I find it more and more diffiicult to get names that I really want.

Well sedo is really a very good way to make money from your unused domain names. Though i have a couple of domains parked at sedo i dont get much arnings though.

I have some domains that I do not use, but I guess if they do not receive traffic from the search engines it is hard to make money with parked domains right?

It is very hard to find a good traffic domain.You have to find natural traffic domains to earn money from parking.

very true good traffic from parked domains I have found to be hard but thats just me though

It depends if it's getting hundreds of uniques are day because it's a typo then it's a good idea and could earn you some nice money but if your getting less than that and/or people come to your site for some kind of tool or information and then you park it your visitors will drop dramatically within days to nearly nothing and they won't ever return. I would recommend do something with it but if you just have heaps of domains and you just want to develop them to something really nice and take your time then maybe parking them could be a solution

How much have any of you earned with parked domains? I had over a dozen parked with SEDO and earned a few euros but not enough to get a payout.

Someone offered to buy one domain and I accepted their offer. But when it came to paying they kept putting me off, making up excuses. The SEDO rep kept telling me they were a very good buyer, she was sure they would come through and passed on their excuses... long weekend, on holiday, etc. About 2-3 months later they still hadn't paid so I pulled the site. I was most disappointed in the SEDO rep... helping this customer string me along and then just whimping out in the end. I chose SEDO because it sounded like they work on your behalf to get the transaction completed, but that wasn't my experience.

I'd really like to hear other's experiences.

Parking it's a great alternative for lazy people: you don't have to create content, design a site or pay hosting bills. Really cool.

Now, to make money with DP, you have to focus on 3 types of domains:

1) Type-In Domains with Traffic. Example: ringtones.com
2) Typo Domains with Traffic. Example: ringtong.com
3) Expired Domains with Traffic.
