6. Smartpricing - the big unknown in Adsense. No one knows how this actually works. But it can affect the pricing of the ads on your site. If the advertiser paid for $0.50/click - but your site is smartpriced - then the cost may be discounted lower (e.g. $0.25). So you may try to develop a site based on high paying keywords but if smartpricing gets to you, then you may not get as much per click as what you are expecting from your keywords.

I think a lot of people have become "adsense blind" lately, because adsense is on almost every website these days. My click rates are not very high - usualy 0.5 % on most sites.

I think those who actually spend to earn, get to earn more. But for smaller sites, like my own, I just rely on whatever traffic is brought in, and then only a fraction of that traffic is actually interested enough to click on the ads.

Apart from traffic, it might be also the placement of the ads. And I agree with Smaaz when he says surfers are now "AdSense blind". Some are even pretty wary to click on them.

Well I started earning with google Adsense but not good start. I earned $10 in two and half year but after some good work on content and ad placements I am earning $15 to $20 per day now which is better for my blog.
