Java and Javascript are 2 completely different things. Java is to make object style programs and stuff, javasrcript is used to make alert boxes or do cool things on an internet webpage. All you have to do to use Javasrcipt, is enable javascript on internet explorer. Enabling java, won't do anything, they are different.

It's most likely not your problem, it's the websites problem. Try contacting the web administrator and let them know. Either that or you need to enable javascript in your browser. If you're using internet explorer, click "tools" and then "internet options" then go to the "advanced" tab.

Java and JavaScript aren't the same thing.

For JavaScript to work, you often need to tone down security settings in your browser to allow the JavaScript to run properly. For example, in Internet Explorer, you could go to Tools => Internet Options, click the Security tab, and choose "low" security, or click Advanced and manually enable JavaScript.

Or, you could add the site you're trying to visit to your Trusted Sites list, that would tell the browser that you trust the site implicitly and want to let that site run whatever it must to display on your computer.

Don't do this carelessly, there are many sites that have code which could install spyware or viruses or other stuff. Use an antivirus or antispyware tool (e.g. Norton, McAfee, AVG) while you browse to protect your computer from such.
