You don't have to buy Adobe Photoshop - you can use The GIMP for free!

http://www.gimp.org/

It even has on-line tutorials and built-in help! Wow!

That picture was taken with the mac program photobooth. Its a filter, so you could take a picture like that in a second.

If you have Photoshop then you can copy/paste the image unto 4 different layers and use "transform" to rearrange them accordingly. Then, you can adjust the image by Image>colour balance/brightness+contrast. You can also edit out the details of a picture by going to filter>cutout so it looks flatter.

well you don't need photoshop to do that... it's pretty simple. he might as well use ACD See Editor... because those effects are pretty easy to implement. also, Gimp is a really cool tool and easy to use

Looks like they just changed the color for each image and used the solarize filter.

I think the Gimp is open source. I've found the Windows port to be a quite buggy. Maybe I had a buggy version. What version are all you Windows Gimp lovers using?

It's done in an Andy Warhol style, theres a generator on the internet that can accomplish it in a heartbeat.

Once you get the pic, you can save it and alter it as you see fit.

Got a Mac?

They used the PhotoBooth application on a Mac. My new MacBook has a built in webcam, all I have to do is launch PhotoBooth, choose 'effects'. Choose the effect you want, take the photo... done
