keywords in url for google not so important?

ve read somewhere, maybe here that keywords in the url are not so important for google ranking but are for yahoo?

Is this true?

IM so new to this! Id love to know in a few words ( if anyone one would be so kind) whats the most important thing to have sorted for good SEO? keyword density? inbound links?

im not sure with that ...but i do know is that google's ranking is base on its popularity...so basically the more you are popular the more you rank first..

having your main keyword in ur website url is key, not that important but it can help you. if one has a web hosting company and in their website url they have the word 'host' or 'hosting' this will help them. that is why its important to choose a good url. although some websites ignore to have their main keyword in their url...this could give you an advantage over other websites...

that is why i recommend to alot of people to use co.cc domains because that way u can get your favourable or more desired domain name that you want as opposed to .com or .net domains...if u see wut i mean....

Nop it is not true that having search term on a domain name is not important for Google.....

It is important to have search terms in your domain name for Google and other major search engines...

NO, using your major keywords on your url is very important in google. Having these to your url is a great advantage especially to google robots, because robots crawl first your domain or your url before the the meta tags and the contents of your pages.
