4) Information on your pages changes often.

KIDDING--websites usually make you pay to get the pagerank up, i think google or your host will offer it... there may also be companies that offer it. good luck!

PageRank's mathematical algorithm is PR(A) = (1-d) + d(PR(t1)/C(t1) + ... + PR(tn)/C(tn)). Basically it determines how far up you are on Google's listings, as I am sure you know.

There are probably hundreds of factors which determine your ranking (this is the original algorithm which Larry and Sergey wrote when they were still at Standford) but the core of PageRank revolves around several things. These are:

1. The number of hyperlinks linking to your page - the more people linking to you, the more popular your site is. Spread the word, get your URL on every blog, forum, social networking site and soon you could be at the top. (Jut don't Google Bomb!)

2. Update regularly - if your information is old it's not much use to Google - or its users. Ensure you change your information and you could be rising in the PageRanks.

3. Meta data - basically, meta data is 'data about data'. If your site has good meta data then you're sure to do well.

If you really want to do well, maybe employ one of the many companies or individuals who can raise your Google ranking. Be careful, make sure you use a legitimate procedure or you could find yourself banned from Google's index forever.
