i just got the wii and i was wondering, to have the internet for the wii, will it cost money eventually?

Some cord connects to the computer and the cord costs $50.00. Sorry but it helps I want one and need money.

they do not charge you for connecting the wii or having the internet. Just your internet subscriotion is what u pay. If you mean an actual web browser, its free on the wii channel until summer. hope it helps

well you need the router or the usb connector or the lan adaptor but if you download the opera browser now it wont cost you so no it basicly dosnt cost you

Right now all you have to pay is the cost of your regualr internet if you have wireless. (If you don't have wireless then you can buy a special adapter to conntect it with a wire.) Go to the Wii Shop Channel and you can get the Everybody Votes Channel and the Internet Channel. The Everybody Votes Channel is free and it lets you just vote on questions people ask. The Internet Channel is Free untill sometime in June and then it will cost 500 wii points (equvalent of $5.00). The Internet Channel is for going on websites.
Also when you connect the wii to the internet for the first time you will get the weather channel (to check the weather) and the news channel (To see whats going on in the world)

I went to a store recently and for $40, I could get a wi-fi adaptor that connects to the computer. But yeah mainly what the guy above me said. No pay till June or something.

It will cost nothing until June 30 after that it will cost 500 wii points. The everybody votes channel is always free. And you will get wheather and news channel as soon as you start. New channnels are still being made.

well.. u can get on the internet with the wii for free... all u need to have is an open wireless connection for your wii to connect to.

but in the near future nintendo will release a better version (the one they have available right now is only a test version) which will cost you a 1 time fee of 20$.

Having internet on your Wii through a wireless internet connection will not cost you money. You still have to pay the electric and internet bill! HA HA HA HA HA HA!

As of June 1, 2007 the new version of the interent is going to cost $5.00 at a one time fee to download the new version. Until then the internet is free. The fastest easiest conection is wireless. Even if you do not have wireless in your home, if your neighbors do it will pick up that signal.
