Hiphop=***+drugs+money+hoes...(wrong equation..!)?

This question goes out 2 all u playa haters of the rap genre(mainly hiphop)........
1st of all let me be so clear with yall' and may u not take it as an offense or something.I've heard and saw and faced a lot of people(some of them are my friends)likes pop alot as well as rock but rap no....and the reason...i guess u know it...!They keep saying that rappers came from da ghetto and they are good 4 nothing..All what they can do iz rap 'bout money,hoes,power and respect(i keep my mind on my money and my money on my mind....2pac).I just wanna show u guys that rap iz not all 'bout these lyrics they may differ from rapper 2 rapper or in the rapper him self.Letz 2pac as a big well-known example....!
He raps 'bout *** and drugs and money but in the same time raps 'bou what he suffered in the ghetto...and 2 make it more clear songz like:Changes,Streetz are deathrow,cradle 2 the grave,hail mary...and so on.By the way not only 2pac raps about things other than violence..there are others.
And lemme tell u something guys...i'm gonna be honest though with my self and u.Rap(mainly hiphop)recently(from the late 2000s)iz not like the ones in the mid-90s letz take 50cent 4 an example.If u compared him with 2pac,biggiesmallz,or other rappers in their time....u will find that 50cent is rapping 'bout money,hoes,fast cars and respect more than those great rappers.I'm not saying only 50cent,julez santana and other new rappes also....They aren't in the same level with the old school rappers no more......and 2 be clear and honest rap(recently)suckz compared 2 the old ones.The only rappers i'm so delightful with are Emin3m,Kanye west and the game....the rest suckz.......!

Sorry, I don't listen to rap. That's is what the matter with young kids today, listening to all that make beleive shit and it is going to their heads, read a book, go to the library or do something beside sit around and listen to that junk, that is why so many young black males is in jail today and I can say that because I am a black man myself.

It seems to me that your "friends" really do not know a lot about the music you are trying to share with them. Media has a lot to do with what we hear and see. If you are only exposed to certain things thru a third party and do no research for yourself, then of course you will have a one-sided, narrow minded view. In all things there are good and bad. I don't know if it's accurate to call someone else's "art" bad (since I do not have the ability to do it myself) but there are certain songs being played today that I think is very degrading to certain groups of people. So I choose not to listen, promote, or buy that music. So in essence, if you want them to like the music you feel you like so much, expose them to different rappers (i.e. Mos Def, the Roots, Black Eyed Peas) if they still say they don't like it, then hey buddy they have the right not to.

Hi Its me again!!! Anyway I used to live in Carol City Miami well when the talk about drugs and violence thats true and u kno wat I loved Miami its better than living in a fancy place where stuff doesnt happen. Like when I was a baby I was in a baby pageant and took 2nd place although i couldve won tht baby had more sponsors than me.....sorry anyway in Miami things happen and that where rappers get their inspiration from where they r ,have been, and sumtimes their future....but hey im only 13 so wat do I kno?

Hey thats what people think about rap,because there is those rapers that rap about that stuff.But there are those rappers that people can relate to and say ya I know what their sayin',I know how that feels.Most people get that idea that rap is about drugs,***,money and hoes,but hey look at the famous rockers.(I don't got nothin' against them i'm a rocker) going into rehab,getting arrested.I see it as the same thing,but with others since the music is different so is the meaning of it.So.. no, thats not what rap and hip-hop are about,their just tryin' to be heard for what they've got to say.
