Favourite Movie Star and why?

We're all different obviously but I'd have to say that my personal favourite is Whoopi Goldberg. She remains fascinating to me now as she did when she first started her movie career. She just seems like a really interesting person and the roles she portrays on screen are brought out of the story with such a realism that you ACTUALLY believe where she's coming from. She hasn't lost the skill, but she keeps picking shitty scripts. That's her only downside.

I loved her slamming George Dubya! That was great stuff. She's not afraid to stand up for what she believes in and to risk pissing people off on a public scale. This has always made me admire her.

I have to say Tom Hanks, much for the reasons you like Whoopi, who by the way, I have total respect for as well. Tom is so interesting to me, I would love to meet him and just sit down for coffee, he just seems like an amazing person. He seems incredibly inteligent and by the way, I'm glad to see he is diversifying a little bit with the Da Vinci Code coming out soon and when he did Road to Perdition, proving that he does not have to be typecast but is a credit to his profession.
