What is it connected with? Maybe some risks?

Surely some risks are present: sometimes comapnies register domain names in their name, and thus they, but not a client own a domain, and if you are going to leave them for another provider - they do not allow you to transfer a domain.
However there are noce solutions from resellers: e.g. MarbleHost.com provides free domain registration for every client, and in their case, the cliet is 100% owner of a DN, they just pay for renewal as long as you host with them. When you decide to go away, the domain remains yours, but the renewl is certaily has to be made by you.
