If a company owns my application, can i reuse it's classes?

In a previous thread, i've learned that if i made an application for a company while working for it, then they own it. But how about reusing generic classes/libraries i've made, when i developed that application, in another personal projects? would that be legally fine? retyping all of that code off job just to make it legal doesn't make sense to me when i can just copy it.
Thanks

I would say YES, as long as you do not re-use them in an different commercial project.

Why not go the safest way and ask your company for a waiver on the use of those generic classes? At least you'll have the document to protect yourself should your company change its mind later and try to sue your pants off or something. If they decline your request, you can always code again.

Good luck!

I don't think it would be too much of a problem, Just go ahead and do it and see what happens, The worst thing that could happen is that you would be told not to use the classes.

Yea, I think it would be fine but for extra check you could just ask the company that you made it for if it would be alright. I'm sure most would be happy you did it for them and would say it would be fine.

But just another idea but should be fine.
