| Yes it is confusing. Here's another example of the mysterious workings of search engines, Yahoo in particular.
I have been promoting another site. Have got quite a few links coming back to it that are almost all picked up on Yahoo backlink checker. Can only see a couple of them on Google's backlink list, however.
You'd think that the site would rank higher in Yahoo than Google. But the opposite is the case. It's on the first couple of pages for several Google searches, but almost invisible on Yahoo.
