If you have monetized your site in some way, for instance you display adsense ads, or you have a book for sale, or even just a form for an opt-in mailing list newsletter, more traffic theoretically means you will earn more money or build you list at a greater rate. I say theoretically because 'more traffic' won't necessary increase your returns. However, 'more targeted traffic' along with good content and offers will almost certainly increase your revenue or list size.
