| I used to use DogPile and Northern Light as my preferred search engines before Google. I've started using it on occasion recently as well. Because it draws from lots of search engines it can give more balanced results than Google I think. I really loved Northern Light.
One thing that's driving me nuts about Google at the moment is that it keeps redirecting me to my local Google - it's a pain when I'm trying to check out my competition in the USA SERPs.
