| Right now all you have to pay is the cost of your regualr internet if you have wireless. (If you don't have wireless then you can buy a special adapter to conntect it with a wire.) Go to the Wii Shop Channel and you can get the Everybody Votes Channel and the Internet Channel. The Everybody Votes Channel is free and it lets you just vote on questions people ask. The Internet Channel is Free untill sometime in June and then it will cost 500 wii points (equvalent of $5.00). The Internet Channel is for going on websites.
Also when you connect the wii to the internet for the first time you will get the weather channel (to check the weather) and the news channel (To see whats going on in the world)
